In El Caso del Espectador (The Spectactor's Case), Maria Jerez explore the relationship with the spectator as the space in which the modes of representation are put into crisis. On stage, she creates a live film where she plays both the actress and spectator's role. She multiplies herself in various characters in a performance that blurs the borders between fiction and reality, theatre and cinema. What is real? What is fiction? And most importantly, who is watching who?
