There's no doubt that virtual reality is on the verge of significantly impacting the way we live our lives. But how much can virtual realities be addictive and influence our mind and body? This is the motif of a new creation by Abraham Hurtado, a multifaceted artist who in recent years has been working closely as a performer and artistic assistant of the American choreographer Meg Stuart / Damaged Goods.
Abraham Hurtado (1972, Murcia, Spain) is a performing artist who currently lives and works in Berlin. He has been collaborating as a performer with various theatre-makers and choreographers in Spain and Portugal. Since 2005 he works closely as a performer and assistant director with the Berlin-based American choreographer Meg Stuart and her Brussels-based company Damaged Goods. As an artist-maker, Hurtado is interested in developing research and creation projects exploring notions of a body in crisis, space, and presence.
